About
A quiet home for devoted love.
Passion in Black is a small publishing home built around a single conviction: that adult love stories about committed Black couples deserve to be written with the same care, patience, and literary craft as any other tradition of romance.
The house was founded around the debut collection Passion in Black by Victor St. Chocolat — a set of interlaced stories about longing, reunion, and the private freedom of a love that has lasted. Everything we publish and every essay in the Journal extends from that impulse: sensuality in the service of intimacy, never spectacle.

Editorial standards
Every piece is written or edited by a human, then read aloud before it is published. We prioritise emotional accuracy over pace, and we never fabricate quotes, statistics, or reader reviews. Where we cite research, we link to primary sources.
